How long is a CE Marking certificate’s period of validity?
The answer is that, at present, if the CE Marking Certificate is issued by the notified body, it is generally valid for 3 years. If your product is highly risky, then the validity period will be 1 year only.
This CE Marking Certificate will be valid as long as the methods of testing and/or requirements for company production control, for assessment of the performance of stated characteristics which are referred to in the harmonized standard remain unchanged, and as long as minor changes are made only with regard to the product and manufacturing conditions on-site.
The CE Marking Certificate of welding consumables is valid for three years subject to annual surveillance audits by our auditor and maintenance of quality systems and testing results by a government-approved laboratory.
